As most will know, Wonder went into receivership earlier in the
month...details are on the net in usenet groups from Jason Compton, with
a note from Mark Habinski, Wonder's CEO.
In private e-mail, I have it that a few of the boys are trying to salvage
the stores, and get back in business early in March, but it is unclear
whether the efforts will succeed.
The demise (?) is particular;ly sad as they weathered a long dry spell,
and had just taken delivery of new A1200's. WOA Toronto, which they
sponsored was a huge success, and they probably just ended their most
succesful quarter of all time.
I f they cannot resurrect the dealerships, it would make a heck of a nice
low priced snag for an offshore outfit lloking for a cheap and excellent
toehold on North America.
